The Women In Trucking Association (WIT) is a non-profit organization that works to promote the employment of women in the trucking industry, recognize their achievements, and minimize the obstacles they face. WIT is based in Fort Worth, Texas and has partnered with several other organizations to support its mission. One of WIT's most notable initiatives is the Influential Woman in the Transportation Industry Award. This award pays tribute to the most powerful women in transportation and their thriving organizations.
WIT and Daimler Truck North America are currently seeking nominations for this year's award. Catholic Charities Fort Worth is another organization that WIT has partnered with. This charity works to end poverty in North Texas and provides a variety of services to those in need. The HOPE Center in Fort Worth is another partner of WIT that fights hunger and feeds HOPE by distributing food three times a week to families and older people whose incomes are within TEXCAP's poverty income guidelines. The employees at the Fort Worth plant are also continuing the cycle of abuse by providing support groups, individual counseling, classes on healthy lifestyles, educational presentations, cancer resources, and more. The plant also offers an energetic schedule of sessions, networking opportunities with a like-minded and supportive community, resources and solutions at the exhibition, and much more. In addition, WIT has partnered with the first woman in Tennessee to establish a CDL learning program specifically for women, youth, and people involved in justice. The Women In Trucking Association is an incredible organization that works hard to promote the employment of women in the trucking industry and provide resources for those in need.
